Holmdel-based Vonage Holdings Corp., a provider of Internet telephone services, reported Thursday that its second-quarter earnings results were mixed when compared with the year-ago period.
Vonage said in a news release that adjusted earnings of $29 million were up from $27 million in the second quarter of 2013. However, net income of $6 million was down from $7 million in the year-ago period.
Revenue for the quarter was $219 million, up from $205 million in 2013.
"Revenue growth in our Business Solutions group continues to accelerate, reflecting the success of multiple sales and marketing initiatives along with the continued adoption of cloud communications in the small and medium business market,” Marc Lefar, Vonage CEO, said in the release.
