16W Marketing signs deal with Pro Football Hall of Fame

Free agency and the NFL Draft may be over, but deals are still being made in the world of football.

Rutherford-based firm 16W Marketing announced Thursday its multi-year partnership agreement with the Pro Football Hall of Fame in which the company will serve the PFHOF as “Business Development Agency of Record.”

The marketing firm will focus on procuring partnerships for several programs aimed at increasing the visibility of the PFHOF. These events include the Hometown Hall of Famers plaque program, the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival, Game for Life exhibit and Hall of Heroes program, as well as official Pro Football Hall of Fame Super Bowl events, including the annual Merlin Olsen Luncheon.

Established in October 2000, 16W Marketing is a sports marketing company that specializes in athlete/celebrity marketing, corporate sponsorship, broadcast negotiations and more. It represents many of football’s most valued celebrities, including broadcasters and former football stars Phil Simms, Boomer Esiason, Howie Long and Cris Collinsworth.

Frank Vuono, co-founder of 16W, issued a statement regarding his excitement about the firm’s involvement with the PFHOF:

"The Pro Football Hall of Fame is an iconic American institution that preserves the history and honors the heroes of our country’s greatest game," he said. "We are proud to have the opportunity to work with David Baker and his team to promote the positive values that the Hall and its prestigious members represent.”
