Unity Bank Real Estate Seminar Will Simplify Process For First Time Home Buyers

Info: For anyone thinking about purchasing their first house, the journey from contract to closing can be challenging, confusing, and downright frustrating. But, thanks to a Unity Bank First Time Homebuyer’s Seminar individuals can receive a comprehensive education covering every aspect of the home buying process.

The two-hour seminar will take place at the Unity Bank Linden Office located at 628 North Wood Avenue on Tuesday, November10, beginning at 6:30 pm. Following the seminar attendees can receive a no-obligation computerized pre-qualification. There is no charge for admission, light refreshments will be served and following the event a drawing will be held for a Nintendo Wii.

According to Marc Sovelove, Chief Retail Lending Officer of Unity Bank, “We’ve assembled an outstanding panel of experts to provide anyone who’s thinking about buying a house for the first time with all the information they need to make getting that home of their dreams a reality.”,

Attendees to the event will receive insights and advice from experts in every key area of the real estate industry. In addition to Mr. Sovelove other Unity Bank Financial Professionals speaking will be Elizabeth Horvath, Unity Bank First-Time Homebuyer Specialist, and Herin Joshi, Linden Branch Manager. Their topics will include the home buying process, renting vs. buying, the mortgage process and available programs, and how to manage your credit. Ron Simone, Real Estate Broker and Owner of All Towne Realty will talk about what to look for in a home, the importance of location when choosing a home, what Foreclosure and Short Sale mean, and the value of working with a Realtor. Mary Gallant and Annette Guerra from Strydesky and Company will inform those in attendance about homeownership tax benefits, current available tax credits and equity build-up. And, Jean Perrotta, an attorney with Perrotta and Fraiser, will cover legal issues such as why you need an attorney, title searches, what’s involved in the closing and what to expect afterward.

“Anyone with a couple of hours to spare on November 10th can get the answers they’re looking for to virtually any real estate buying question when they visit with us that night,” says Mr. Sovelove.
