Electronics maker brings new screens to hospitals; solutions provider takes video conferencing to new level; rooftop solar system planned for distribution facility.

Samsung Electronics America Inc., in Ridgefield Park, said Thursday it partnered with TeleHealth Services, a Raleigh, N.C.-based provider of televisions to the health care industry, to introduce a line of LCD televisions specifically for hospitals. The Samsung LCD 458 series of televisions include features hospitals can use for education and entertainment.
Internet protocol solutions provider Global Crossing, in Florham Park, said Thursday it launched a new telepresence solution with Teliris, of New York, for virtual meetings. Global Crossing said the new solution is an expansion of its video collaboration services.

NJ Clean Energy Ventures, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, in Wall, said Thursday it entered into an agreement to lease space on CertainTeed Corp.’s distribution facility, in Berlin, for an 870-kilowatt rooftop solar system. New Jersey Resources said it will develop the $5 million system with United Solar.New Jersey Resources will lease 300,000 square feet of roof space for 20 years from CertainTeed, a maker of building products. The system is expected to be in operation by January 2011, and to generate 90 percent of the building’s energy needs.
