HMH enters tentative pacts with nurses at 2 medical centers

By ,

Jersey Shore University Medical Center and Southern Ocean Medical Center have reached tentative labor agreements with Health Professionals and Allied Employees locals 5058 and 5138, respectively, after nearly six months of bargaining.

The two contracts cover roughly 1,500 registered nurses at the two hospitals.

Hackensack Meridian Health said in a statement that upon ratification of the two contracts, HMH will have completed its negotiations with HPAE.

Several weeks ago, HPAE-represented workers at Palisades Medical Center ratified successor three-year labor contracts. In mid-September, employees at The Harborage nursing home in North Bergen ratified a new three-year contract.
