3 from executive team upped at OceanFirst

By ,

Three members of OceanFirst Bank NA’s senior leadership team have been promoted to new positions effective Jan. 1, the financial institution said.

Executive Vice President Joseph Lebel will take on the role of chief operating officer; Executive Vice President Joseph Iantosca will assume the role of chief information officer; and Executive Vice President Michele Estep has been named chief administrative officer, the bank’s holding company OceanFirst Financial Corp. announced.

Estep’s new role finds her overseeing human resources following last week’s announcement by the bank of the retirement of Gary Hett, executive vice president and chief human resources officer. Estep joined OceanFirst following its acquisition of Sun Bancorp Inc. earlier in 2018.

The bank also announced Grace Vallacchi, executive vice president and chief risk officer, will assume responsibilities for information security and regulatory compliance as part of the reorganization.

Toms River-based OceanFirst operates in New Jersey and the New York and Philadelphia metros, and is one of the oldest community-based financial institutions in the state.
