Gourmet Nut has purchased a 62,000-square-foot industrial building in Perth Amboy for $4.6 million, with the intention of relocating its operations from Brooklyn, N.Y.

The building at 144 Grant St. was sold by Riverview Management LLC, industrial real estate services firm Bussel Realty Corp. announced Tuesday. The property sits on four acres and was built in 2017.

BRC Senior Vice President Leo Esses represented Gourmet Nut, while Riverview Management was represented in-house.

According to Esses, Gourmet Nut will receive a $12 million grant from the state for its relocation to New Jersey.

“The company expects to create 100 new jobs,” he said in a release.

Gourmet Nut distributes gourmet foods and snacks, including gourmet nut mixes, sea salts and more.

BRC is headquartered in Edison.
