By ,

The Rutgers University Cancer Institute of New Jersey received a $50,000 infrastructure grant from the St. Baldrick’s Foundation to provide support for a clinical research nurse dedicated to the needs of adolescents and young adults, the institute announced Thursday.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation funds childhood cancer research grants. This is the third such grant from the foundation in recent years to support the program.

The Rutgers Cancer Institute provides access to pediatric and adult clinical trials that are developed by on-site investigators and are offered through collaborative partners such as the National Cancer Institute, Children’s Oncology Group and Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium.
