Valley National Bank has rolled out refreshed branding while also announcing that it will now go by “Valley” in most instances.

Along with the visual changes announced Wednesday, Valley said it plans to invest in technology to streamline customer banking.

In addition, the bank will employ a “universal banker” model where individual customer needs will be met by one person. Its Small Business Administration loan program and Women in Business program, previously Women Entrepreneurs, will also be expanded across the bank’s service area.

“We’re refreshing our brand as a way to show how we are staying ahead of the curve to give our customers the power to succeed,” President and CEO Ira Robbins said in a prepared statement. “Our new look reflects a modern, responsive bank, while honoring our 91-year legacy of stability and success.”

As part of the refresh, the Wayne-based regional bank unveiled a new logo, changes to its website and mobile platforms and a plan to update branch locations with new signage.

The bank also announced its stock would now be traded on the NASDAQ exchange.
