Energy and public utilities lawyer Steven Goldenberg has joined Red Bank’s Giordano Halleran & Ciesla PC as a shareholder.

He joins after spending nearly 14 years at Fox Rothschild.

Goldenberg is an energy law veteran. He founded and represents both the New Jersey Large Energy Users Coalition and New Jersey Distributed Generation Coalition. The NJLEUS is comprised of the state’s largest businesses, including pharmaceutical, chemical and manufacturing companies; and through the NJDGS, he represents energy service companies, engineering companies and manufacturers.

He also chaired the Christie Administration’s Energy Master Plan Task Force on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.

“Steve’s move to our firm creates immense opportunities for synergies between his practice areas and our long-standing work in real estate, redevelopment and related industries,” said Giordano’s Co-Managing Shareholder Michael Gross in a statement.

Goldenberg will focus his practice on the development of public-private partnerships in energy infrastructure, microgrid and cogeneration projects and various aspects of environmental, real estate, land use, construction, government procurement and redevelopment law, according to the firm.
