JZA+D Founding Principal Joshua Zinder has been elected vice president of the American Institute of Architects’ New Jersey chapter, the Princeton-based architecture and design firm said Tuesday.

According to JZA+D, per AIA’s progression, Zinder’s election begins him on a formal path to occupy the role of President-Elect in 2020 and President in 2021.

Zinder’s appointment, along with that of incoming President Judith Donnelly and President-elect Steve Lazarus, will take effect in January.

Donnelly is principal owner of Donnelly Architecture LLC in Hackettstown. Lazarus is a member of Axis Architectural Group LLC in Englewood.

“I look forward to supporting AIA New Jersey and hope to find many opportunities over the coming years to advance the group’s mission,” Zinder said in a prepared statement. “Many of these issues are critical to New Jersey’s future, and all are vital to the future of the Garden State's architecture professionals."
