Jaguar Land Rover North America held its official opening ceremony this week, with a Royal in attendance.
The Earl of Wessex joined Jaguar employees on the 12-acre campus Thursday for a dedication ceremony of the new 144,000-square-foot facility in Mahwah. He also met with veterans and employees who spearhead community charity efforts.
“We are honored to have His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex join us for the official building dedication ceremony of our all new Jaguar Land Rover North American headquarters,” said Jaguar Land Rover North America President and CEO Joe Eberhardt in a statement. “Our new facility provides our employees a workplace that fosters teamwork, collaboration and efficiency, all which are essential to supporting the rapid growth of Jaguar Land Rover in North America.”
The facility employs nearly 400 employees and includes a new 30,000-square-foot product research, training and development center, a Jaguar and Land Rover showroom, 47 electric vehicle chargers, 78 conference rooms and meeting spaces, 498 workstations and over 85 indoor and outdoor wireless access points.
Additionally, to highlight Jaguar’s commitment to New Jersey, the facility’s dining services are provided by Whippany-based farm-to-table vendor Dartcor Food Services and the coffee is roasted in New Jersey as well.
