Campbell appoints new head of R&D

Campbell Soup Co. has appointed Craig Slavtcheff vice president and head of research and development.


Slavtcheff will lead strategy, innovation and product development throughout the company, as well as its science and technology, regulatory, nutrition, and culinary teams.


He joined Campbell in 2012, and most recently served as vice president of R&D for the company’s Snacks and International arms.


Before coming to Campbell, Slavtcheff was senior vice president of R&D and quality affairs for Sun Products Co. and the North American head of home and personal care R&D at Unilever.


Slavtcheff succeeds Carlos Barroso, who retired last month.
