Since the start of Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration, the data exchange program from the New Jersey Department of Health and the New Jersey Innovation Institute – a New Jersey Institute of Technology corporation – has connected over half of New Jersey’s hospitals, NJDOH said.
Meetings continue to engage others in the program and Health Commissioner Dr. Shereef Elnahal said his department aims to have all the state’s hospitals linked by the end of next year.
Cooper University Hospital, Our Lady of Lourdes, Virtua Health System and Jefferson Health System currently participate in NJHIN as hospital partners.
NJHIN centralizes and provides easy access to medical histories and medications for providers throughout the state.
