J.W. Childs, New Jersey Urology team up

By ,

Boston-based private equity firm J.W. Childs Associates and New Jersey Urology have formed Urology Management Associates, a new venture to provide administrative and management services to urology practices.

UMA will administer service for New Jersey Urology, which has corporate offices in Bloomfield and Mount Laurel, in addition to multiple office locations throughout North and South Jersey.

New Jersey Urology recently merged with Delaware Valley Urology to become the largest single-specialty urology group in the U.S., according to the company.

The Bloom Organization advised NJU on the transaction, with DLA Piper LLP serving as its legal counsel. J.W. Childs was advised by McDermott Will & Emery LLP.
