Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center has been recognized for its promotion of, and excellence in, breastfeeding.

The hospital announced its recognition by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners and the International Lactation Consultant Association in a release Wednesday.

The IBCLC Care Award recognizes the staffing of International Board Certified Lactation Consultant-certified professionals by the hospital, the institution’s lactation program for breastfeeding families and acknowledges the training of medical staff on breastfeeding.

Palisades Medical Center’s IBCLCs assist families beginning with preventative care.
