Cole Schotz advises on $17M Jersey City acquisition

400 Claremont Urban Renewal LLC has acquired a 2.73-acre property in Jersey City, according to law firm Cole Schotz PC, which advised on the deal.

The $17 million acquisition was for the former site of an Elementis Specialties Inc. manufacturing facility, which the buyer intends to redevelop into a residential rental property.

Cole Schotz advised on a number of parts of the deal. Leo Leyva counseled on the acquisition with Robert DiPisa and Jonathan Goodelman; Rab Nalavala and Eric Reisman advised on the loan; Jennifer Horowitz and Samantha Epstein provided corporate guidance; and Richard Ericsson, Marcie Horowitz and Elizabeth Bogle assisted with environmental remediation.
