New Jersey Innovation Institute, an NJIT corporation, has helped more than 90 companies through its Health IT Connections program and now, NJII is putting out the call for new applicants.

Entering its fifth year, Health IT Connections works to grow the industry through the support of growth-stage health IT entrepreneurs via training, mentoring and building connections to new customers, strategic partners and suppliers.

“The primary goal of our program is the growth and development of the health IT sector in the greater New Jersey/New York region,” Associate Vice President of Technology and Enterprise Development Judith Sheft said in a release. “As a nonprofit entity funded from outside the industry, we can serve as an honest broker between the health care organizations in need of 21st century solutions — hospitals, big pharma, insurers and the entrepreneurs who are developing tomorrow’s innovations.”

According to NJII, reporting companies that have been a part of the program have achieved annualized revenue growth of 46 percent and job growth of 42 percent.

The program is funded in part by the JPMorgan Chase Small Business Forward initiative.

Applications for Cohort 9 of the Health IT Connections program are open now.
