Adam Spence, Biocoat team for OEMS offering

By ,

As part of a strategic partnership Wall-based medical manufacturer Adam Spence and Biocoat Inc. will offer reinforced catheter shafts with hydrophilic coatings, the companies announced.

Adam Spence will be responsible for the development and manufacture of braided and coil reinforced delivery systems, which aligns with the company’s offerings of medical extrusions and tubing products, to which Horsham, Pa.- based Biocoat will then apply its Hydak hydrophilic coating.

“Biocoat has deep experience in the application of low-friction hydrophilic coatings for catheters used in the cardiovascular, neurovascular, peripheral vascular and structural heart markets,” said Adam Spence Vice President of Marketing and Sales Steve Maxson in a release.

The companies will collaborate on each phase of the process, from development to commercialization.

Adam Spence is a Spectrum Plastics Group company suppling medical device original equipment manufacturers.
