Cathy Bennett, president and CEO of the New Jersey Hospital Association, will moderate a special NJBIZ panel discussion focusing on the latest advances in health care technology.
The event, part of NJBIZ’s monthly series of panel discussions on topics relevant to New Jersey businesses, is scheduled for 8 a.m. Tuesday at The Imperia in Somerset. Sponsors include CareOne, Hackensack Meridian Health and the New Jersey Innovation Institute, an NJIT corporation.
Confirmed panelists include John Novak, senior director of technology and architecture at the New Jersey Innovation Institute; Donald Parker, president and CEO of Carrier Clinic; and Sandra Powell-Elliott, vice president, life sciences and innovation, physician enterprise division, at Hackensack Meridian Health.
Among the topics to be discussed are connecting to patients/consumers via telehealth and mobile devices and apps; the role of health information technology in physical and behavioral health; video psychology; tech applications and treatments such as facial recognition software and GPS; and how consumers interact with health systems.
