FCS’s Beekman announces retirement

By ,

Delly Beekman, CEO of Monmouth County’s Family & Children’s Service, has announced her retirement after 30 years with the organization, six years at the helm.

“The board has a detailed leadership succession plan and after a review of our strategic goals, we will release a job announcement in the coming months,” said Deborah Zilai, chair of the board of directors for the organization.

Zilai expects the board to announce a new CEO by the beginning of 2019. Beekman will continue in her position until then.

Beekman started at FCS as a volunteer and eventually served on the board of directors for 24 years, two of which she served as president. She served as interim CEO prior to being named to the position permanently in 2012.

FCS is the oldest, private nonprofit social service agency in Monmouth County.
