NAI James E. Hanson said it represented Nashville, Tennessee-based Ampersand Health in procuring a location for its first clinic in New Jersey.

Ampersand, which provides primary health care in inner-city areas through its CityLife clinics, will take up residence in the newly built Springfield Avenue Marketplace, located in the University Heights section of Newark.

“The new building allowed for a build-to-suit office that could include the many unique features for a new first-class medical installation,” said NAI’s Joshua Levering, who represented Ampersand along with Nicholas DePaolera, also of NAI.

Springfield Avenue’s landlord, Tucker Development, was represented by Jake Frantzman of Ripco Real Estate. Financial terms for the deal were not disclosed.
