JCP&L advances Patton to vp of operations
Jersey Central Power & Light has promoted Alex Patton to vice president of operations.
In his new role Patton is responsible for the operation and maintenance of JCP&L’s transmission and distribution systems, covering more than 3,200 square miles of Northern and Central New Jersey, including line and substation operations, dispatching, engineering, meter reading, forestry and support services.
Patton previously served as operation services director for Mon Power, like JCP&L a subsidiary of FirstEnergy. He has been with the company since 1987, having begun his career as an engineer.
Jersey Central Ppwer & Light provides electric service to 1.1 million customers in the counties of Burlington, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer,Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren.
