This July was Subaru of America’s most lucrative in history.
Last month, the Camden-based company sold 59,426 vehicles and reported a 6.7 percent year-over-year increase from July 2017 to July 2018.
"Overall, Subaru of America sales were up nearly 7 percent in July – an impressive accomplishment considering that sales industry-wide were down compared to July 2017," said Jeff Walters, senior vice president of Sales, in a statement.
July was the 53rd consecutive month and 60th consecutive month with more than 10,000 Outbacks and Foresters sold, respectively.
It was also the 80th month in a row of yearly month-over-month growth.
"We're thrilled to see the ongoing excitement around the 2019 model year vehicles and look forward to upholding this momentum by continuing to deliver safety, versatility and reliability to our loyal customer base," said Subaru of America Inc. President and CEO Thomas Doll, in a statement.
To date, the company has sold 382,286 vehicles this year, representing a 6 percent gain over the same period last year.
