Bridgewater-based Arbor Glen, a nonprofit operator of a senior living facility, has been acquired by LCS, a producer of senior lifestyle products and services headquartered in Iowa.
As a result of the acquisition, LCS will invest $8 million for capital improvements to Arbor Glen’s facility and rename it Laurel Circle. The improvements include property renovations, enhanced health care services and lifestyle programming.
Laurel Circle leadership and the LCS development team will collaborate to build a strategic plan and execution timeline that will be rolled out over the next few years to offer improvements in the quality of life for its residents.
The facility has 299 total units consisting of 183 independent living apartments, 19 independent living villas, 23 assisted living units, 10 memory care units and 64 beds of skilled nursing.
“Becoming part of Life Care Services will enable us to offer residents the benefit of its proven track record as one of the country’s premier senior living management partners,” said Felix Rosenwasser, CEO of Laurel Circle, in a prepared statement. “The new Laurel Circle will combine Life Care Services’ proven world-class lifestyle and health care services with our distinct culture built on our traditional Quaker values.”
