Synchronoss elects wireless hall of famer Rinne to board

Bridgewater-based media, telecom and tech company Synchronoss Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: SNCR) has elected industry vet Kris Rinne to its board.

Rinne spent almost 40 years with AT&T and its family of companies in a number of senior positions, retiring in 2014. She most recently served as senior vice president of network and product planning.

“Kris is a true telecom pioneer,” CEO Glenn Lurie in a release, noting her involvement in the global deployment of high-speed mobile data networks and other watershed roll-outs.

Rinne was named to the Wireless Hall of Fame, among other accolades.

Prior to her work at AT&T, Rinne held posts including vice president of technology strategy for SBC Wireless,  managing director of operations at Southwestern Bell Mobile Services and chairperson of the board of governors at 3G Americas LLC and the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions.
