Ramapo College of New Jersey and Touro College of Pharmacy in New York City have created a pre-pharmacy program in which students can earn a bachelor’s degree and a doctorate of pharmacy degree in seven years.
Ramapo College will begin accepting applications to the program on Sept. 1. The program is designed to help students save time and money.
Said Edward Saiff, dean of the School of Theoretical and Applied Science at Ramapo College: “Students interested in a career in pharmacy will be able to begin their studies here at Ramapo and then move on to the Touro campus in New York City for their professional studies. Pharmacists are integral to any health care team and this partnership will offer Ramapo College students interested in the many dimensions of pharmacy a path to a wonderful career.”
Interested students can apply to the Touro College of Pharmacy during their third year at Ramapo. They will be required to have completed pre-requisites in science, math and economics with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and a science grade point average of 2.75.
