K&L Gates' Newark office adds four attorneys

Three lawyers formerly of LeClairRyan and one formerly of Wyndham Worldwide Corp. have joined K&L Gates as the firm expands its resort, hospitality and leisure and restructuring and insolvency practices.

Former Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Wydham Worldwide Scott McLester is now partner at K&L Gates. Formerly of LeClairRyan are Partner Daniel Eliades and Of Counsels David Catuogno and William Waldman.

“We are pleased and excited to have Scott, Dan, Bill, and Dave join the K&L Gates global platform,” said Anthony La Rocco, managing partner of K&L Gates’ Newark office, in a statement. “Combining Scott’s decades of experience leading major hospitality, franchise, and other global enterprises in and through various areas of law with the depth of knowledge and decades of experience that Dan’s team has serving franchise and hospitality clients, we greatly enhance our ability to service this industry segment and continue to grow the firm’s hospitality practice.” 

The resort, hospitality and leisure practice at K&L Gates represents clients such as developers, investors, lenders, construction companies, management companies and franchisors, as well as operators and franchisees in hotel projects worldwide. 

The firm’s restructuring and insolvency practice handles mergers and acquisitions of troubled resort and hotel properties and associated note purchases and sales, as well as loan restructurings, asset-based lending, secured transactions, intellectual property protection and financial restructuring.
