Elizabeth “Betsy” Ryan, the CEO of the New Jersey Hospital Association from 2008 to 2017, was unanimously voted to the board of Inspira Health Network.

An attorney by trade, Ryan guided the state’s hospitals and other health care providers through major policy changes under the Affordable Care Act during her tenure as CEO. She also helped advance patient safety by overseeing the establishment of the Health Research and Educational Trust, a certified patient safety organization, and the designation of NJHA as a federally designated hospital engagement network to lead quality improvement activities in the state.

"We are so pleased that Betsy has joined our network board of trustees," said John DiAngelo, CEO of Inspira Health Network, in a prepared statement. "Her knowledge of the health care industry and commitment to clinical excellence and patient safety are unsurpassed."
