Holy Name launches wound healing institute

By ,

Holy Name Medical Center has opened its Institute for Wound Healing in Teaneck.

The institute offers advanced care in the treatment of non-healing, chronic wounds and related conditions and diseases. The institute was launched due to an aging population in the state, an increased rate of diabetes, obesity and the effects of radiation therapy and its contribution to the chronic wound epidemic in the state.

“With convenient access to so many specialists who can collaborate easily with one another, we’re able to address wound issues from every possible angle, which means our patients spend their time healing, instead of waiting on the next step in treatment,” said Dr. Stavros Christoudias, medical director at the institute, in a statement.
