Monmouth Medical Center to use $4M gift on women's health program

By ,

Monmouth Medical Center, a part of the RWJBarnabas Health system, has received a $4 million gift from the family of the late Judith Dawkins to create a women’s health program.

Dawkins was a long time benefactor of the medical center. The new program will be called the Judith W. Dawkins Women’s Health program and offer primary care and health maintenance for women, obstetrics, breast health, cancer prevention, autoimmune disease care, nutrition and sports medicine, gynecology, cardiovascular health, mental health and radiology, as well as assembling leading researchers, educators and clinicians.

The gift will also establish the Judith W. Dawkins Ambassador of Excellence Award, which will be presented to a clinician, trustee or community leader who exemplifies exceptional leadership and high ethical standards in health care.
