Inspira to open second radiation oncology center

By ,

Inspira Health Network has opened a radiation oncology center on its Medical Center Woodbury campus.

The center will be one of the first in the U.S. to offer Veritas Medical Solutions’ SmartVue Natural Light Solution, which allows natural light into cancer treatment rooms without affecting the integrity of surrounding radiation shielding. It will also offer a new linear accelerator, which uses 3D mapping technology to more precisely locate tumors.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Tuesday for the center, Inspira’s third in the state.
