Wakefern’s Lane elected to association board

Wakefern Food Corp. Executive Vice President Chris Lane has been elected vice chairman of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores.

Lane was elected to the post at the NACDS’s annual conference in Florida on Monday.

Mark Panzer, senior vice president of pharmacy, health and wellness at Idaho-based Albertsons, will serve as the new chairman.Each member of the new board of directors, which develops NACDS’s policies and priorities, will serve a one-year term.

Lane was also elected to the NACDS’s executive committee, along with Walgreen’s president of operations, Richard Ashworth, and Kevin Hourican, president of CVS Pharmacy.
