Hudson County Consortium to serve county businesses

A new coalition of business, civic and education groups have formed the Hudson County Consortium for Business Growth.

Their aim: to support business growth and development through the design, plan and coordinated delivery of educational programs.

The consortium is comprised of the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce, Hudson County Community College, the Center for Business and Industry, the Hudson County Economic Development Corp., the Hudson County Office of Business Opportunity and the New Jersey Small Business Development Center at New Jersey City University

The consortium will support the Hudson County Office of Business Opportunity to help businesses in becoming eligible for certifications and to gain access to procurement opportunities at the county, state and federal levels and in the private sector. It also will host classes in basic financial management, accounting fundamentals, QuickBooks and Excel for business and finance professionals.
