The group has practices in the areas of corporate and commercial law, state and federal court work, and trust and estates.
“It’s really exciting for us to get some top-quality people we’ve known for a long time; Graham Curtin has been a well-respected firm for many years,” said Edward Deutsch, founding partner of MDMC.
Most of the transitioning Graham Curtin attorneys will move across town to MDMC’s Morristown headquarters, while six head to MDMC’s Newark location and one to Ridgewood.
Tom Curtin, founding member at Graham Curtin, expressed enthusiasm about the union, which has been in the works since last summer.
“It gives us a deeper bench,” said Curtin, who has been practicing law for 50 years. “The majority of our staff is coming with us, which is nice from a stewardship perspective. That gives the younger men and women broader opportunities, a broader base of clients, and affords them opportunities to develop their practice.”
Along with Curtin, the lawyers moving to MDMC include: Adam Adrignolo, Melissa Bracuti, Christopher Carey, Jennifer Casazza, Patrick Collins, Venanzio Cortese, Kathleen Fennelly, William Fox, Michael Hamory, George Jones, Peter Laughlin, Daniel Malet, Nicholas Malet, Brian McEvoy, David O’Sullivan, Charles Quinn, Kenneth Vest, and Paul Zelenty.
Lawyers not making the switch include members of Graham Curtin’s insurance defense group, which Curtin said will be forming a new firm, and a small handful of of-counsel attorneys.
