JCP&L customers can report an outage by mobile phone by texting REG to 544487 (LIGHTS) to get started. They will need their 12-digit account number and ZIP Code.
PSE&G customers can report fallen wires or power outages by calling 1-800-436-PSEG, logging onto www.pseg.com, or by texting “OUT” to 4PSEG (47734). The utility’s website includes an Outage Map that’s updated every 15 minutes and displays the location and status of power outages in PSE&G’s service area.
