Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi has launched its new Professional Liability Group.
The group will represent regional, U.S. and international professional service providers, including law and accounting firms, in any state and federal suits involving claims of malpractice. Members also will advise clients on legislative malpractice updates and loss-prevention techniques, as well as issues relating to rules of professional conduct and other matters.
The group will operate within the firm’s litigation practice and will be led by General Counsel Ronald Israel and firm ethics-conflicts committee member Marie Mathews.
“As advisors on matters ranging from client intake procedures to preventative ethics counsel, our team delivers a holistic approach with a scope that expands well beyond post-claim representation,” Israel said in a statement. “Our proactive advice – paired with the depth of CSG’s many specialized practice areas – is a valuable asset when defending against, and averting, claims alleging violations of professional or ethical standards.”
