The Cushman & Wakefield team of John Picco, Peter Van Duyne, Sean Brady, Christian Politan, Alex Lachmund and Bruce Mosler is set to market Lotus Equities’ Riverfront Square project, the brokerage firm announced.
The Riverfront development totals 2 million square feet and will include the country’s largest timber office building.
The 500,000-square-foot, 11-story timber tower will anchor the first phase of the Riverfront Square development. The 11.8-acre site is the former Newark Bears and Eagles Stadium and the Lincoln Motel. The first phase of the development will also include 100,000 square feet of retail space and a parking garage.
Cushman & Wakefield said the project is estimated to cost $1.7 billion and provide up to 2,000 residential units.
The site of the Riverfront Square development is steps from the Broad Street and Newark Light Rail station, and is only 11 miles from Newark Liberty.
Michael Green Architecture designed the phase 1 anchor timber office building.
