Two from CohnReznick LLP named to AICPA Tax Division Committee.
Joseph F. Scutellaro, tax partner with CohnReznick LLP and tax practice director for the Eatontown office, was named chair of the AICPA Tax Practice Responsibilities Committee for a two-year term and, a third year as immediate past chair. He previously served as the committee’s vice chair.
The Tax Practice Responsibilities Committee recommends internal and external rules for the tax professions and maintains AICPA tax professional standards. Scutellaro has nearly 30 years of public accounting experience and frequently represents and contributes to the AICPA, including helping to author its “Tax Practice Quality Control Guide.”
Dan Wise, director of CohnReznick’s National Tax Practice based in Roseland, will serve a three-year term as a member of AICPA’s Tax Practice and Procedure Committee. The committee monitors and keeps AICPA members informed of changes and developments pertaining to IRS procedural and administrative guidance. The committee also serves as a resource for other AICPA committees, technical resource panels and task forces with regards to tax administration and procedure.
Wise has over 25 years of public accounting experience and partnered with Scutellaro in authoring updates to the aforementioned “Tax Practice Quality Control Guide.”
