Quest Diagnostics, Rutgers open sports-science lab

By ,

Diagnostic-info provider Quest Diagnostics and Rutgers University–New Brunswick have created Quest Diagnostics Sports Science Lab in the Rutgers Center for Health & Human Performance.

The New Jersey Institute of Food, Nutrition and Health is the campus home for the Rutgers Center for Health & Human Performance. The new sports-science lab will use Blueprint for Athletes, Quest’s biometric testing service for athletes, in various R&D projects.

Targeted areas of investigation include connecting biomarker measurements and training load, movement mechanics, endurance, power and body composition. The lab also will probe biomarker levels and their connection with athletic performance, metabolism and bone density, among other areas.
