Celgene, NJIT partner on cell therapy education program

Summit-based Celgene Corp. is collaborating with New Jersey Innovation Institute, at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, to train its employees on new cell therapy processing and aseptic techniques.

Celgene will work with NJIT to develop a customized curriculum for both Celgene’s employees and residents who are seeking to enter the biopharmaceutical industry in the state. The curriculum, according to Celgene, is to promote workforce development in the state and to possibly recruit new employees.

Much of the training will take place in Celgene’s new biopharmaceutical incubation center, which recently opened on its Summit campus, as well as NJIT’s offices.
