TRADE: Commerce Dept. makes feeble national security plea for steel protection Source: Forbes

The U.S. Department of Commerce just released its report calling for substantial new barriers to imports of steel and aluminum. Ostensibly, this “Section 232” investigation was meant to address national security concerns. The security analysis in the report is so weak, however, that it just appears to be protectionism in search of an excuse.
