Bubbakoo’s Burritos moves further upstate

By ,

Jersey Shore-based Mexican chain Bubbakoo’s Burritos is set to open two North Jersey locations this summer.

After recent openings in Shrewsbury and Somerville, the funky surf-inspired chain inked a two-store deal with Perry Patel—who’s previously opened three gas station convenience stores and a Lapel’s Dry Cleaning—with sights on opening locations in Franklin Lakes and Morristown.

“The brand is unique and not like any other competitor serves high-quality food and service,” said Patel in a statement. “I saw the ease of operations and knew I wanted to be a part of what Bubbakoo’s is doing.”

Bubbakoo’s currently has nearly 20 locations and is looking to add 10 more by year’s end. Including a franchise fee of $30,000, the initial investment to open a 1,700-2,000-square-foot Bubbakoo’s Burritos restaurant is $161,000-$423,000, according to a release.
