Real estate firm Newmark Knight Frank has tapped industry veteran Leo Paytas to serve as a senior managing director out of the firms New Jersey office in Rutherford.
Paytas brings more than 30 years of experience in tenant and landlord representation operations.
“Leo has a comprehensive understanding of how to assist a variety of clients on either side of a transaction,” NKF vice chairman David Simson said in a news release. “He is well-equipped and knowledgeable in the nuances of high-profile and complex client representation.”
Paytas has represented clients in the sale of lease of more than 2.4 million square feet and a total transaction value of over $264 million in the last two years. He has also completed the sale for 1.5 million square feet on behalf of Celgene.
Before joining NKF, Paytas worked with Prudential, where he oversaw acquisitions, dispositions and sales within its 7 million-square-foot portfolio.
