Gov. Phil Murphy will headline the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce’s Walk to Washington, an annual event that gathers many of the state’s business leaders for a trip to the nation’s capital.

In addition to the governor, U.S. Sens. Cory Booker and Robert Menendez, D-NJ, and U.S. Rep. Chris Smith, R-4th District, will also speak at the event’s dinner March 1 at the Marriott Wardman Park hotel.

The Walk to Washington is an event frequently attended by the state’s governor and legislators. It began in 1937.

Last year’s event was attended by roughly 1,000 business executives and government officials.
