The three are set to open at different times, with Japanese restaurant Menya Sandaime having hosted its soft opening in February and Los Cuernos and Ruth’s Chris to open in the coming months.
“Newport is becoming a true culinary destination, and the addition of these three diverse dining options further establishes that Newport is not only a great place to live, but also a great place to eat,” said Ray Kawas, leasing director for Newport, in a release. “Ruth’s Chris, Menya Sandaime and Los Cuernos each offer a distinct culinary experience that will appeal to the many people who live, work and visit Newport.”
Menya Sandaime, at 564 Washington Blvd., is the second location for the Japanese restaurant. It signed a lease for 3,600 square feet.
Ruth’s Chris is slated to open early this summer in an 11,750-square-foot space at 499 Washington Blvd., LeFrak said, while Mexican eatery Los Cuernos is scheduled to open in April at a 5,622-square-foot location at 499 Washington Blvd.
The Newport development is a 600-acre project with over 5,500 residences and over 6 million square feet of office space.
