GZA, an environmental firm based out of Norwood, Mass., said the acquisition will help it strengthen its operations in the mid-Atlantic region.
“Joining a dynamic company like GZA gives us the opportunity and expertise to expand and diversify our services to all of our clients in New Jersey as well as our other markets,” Gene Gallagher, president of MTA, said in a news release. “We see this as a tremendous win-win for both MTA clients and the GZA/MTA team.”
MTA is set to continue providing geotechnical and environmental engineering services in all real estate sectors. According to GZA, the firm will maintain its current leadership and office in the state.
“We are very pleased that MTA will be joining the GZA team,” Bill Hadge, CEO of GZA said. “We’re now able to expand our core service lines in geotechnical, environmental, ecological, water and construction management in the commercial real estate sector in one of the strongest economic regions in the country, the metropolitan New York area.”
GZA was founded in 1964 and currently has over 630 employees in 28 offices.
