The ruler of the land: Kings named best supermarket in NJ by Daily Meal

By ,

True to its name, Kings Food Markets was crowned Best Supermarket in New Jersey this week by the Daily Meal.

And what is a king without its crown — or in this case, a whisk?

To the Daily Meal, the Parsippany-based grocery chain has a reputation that “although products maybe a tad expensive, Kings carries the quality products customers are looking for.”

“As a NJ-based company, we are honored to have been named the best supermarket in the state!” said Judy Spires, chairman and CEO of Kings, in response to the nod.

She had some good news for Kings customers, too: “We recently lowered over 200 produce prices as well as on key items in meat, seafood and deli,” said Spires. “Our focus is and will remain on providing our customers with delectable inspiration and meal and catering solutions at a great value. As a matter of fact, a majority of our customers say that Kings makes their shopping more enjoyable.”

According to The Daily Meal, its best-of list was based on cross-referencing other lists and reviews, analyzing information on Facebook, and gathering intel from connections in-the-know about grocery stores near and far.
