By ,

Jersey City is welcoming its first table tennis club, Wang Chen Table Tennis Club, which will occupy 3,100 square feet at 31 River Drive, Newport Associates Development Group announced.

The location will be the first of Wang Chen’s location in Jersey City.

“We are delighted to welcome The Wang Chen Table Tennis Club to Newport,” said a Newport Associates representative. “The club will provide residents of all ages a fun and healthy outlet, and is an exciting addition to the city’s already-impressive selection of cultural and recreational activities.”

The location is proximal to the PATH and is adjacent to the Newport Veterinary Center and Newport Swim & Fitness.

Wang Chen Table Tennis Club opened its first location in the Upper West Side of Manhattan and has a location in Westwood.

“Table tennis is beneficial to the mind and body, and clubs provide an environment for socializing and developing friendships,” said a Wang Chen Table Tennis Club representative. “We are thrilled to open our third location in Newport, which we believe is ideal for our club because of its strong sense of community.”

Wang Chen joins JPMorgan Chase & Co., Citigroup and Fire & Oak, an American eatery, to the Newport neighborhood in Jersey City.
