Cardinale Enterprises seeks zoning variance for Jackson athletic complex, hotel

By ,

Jackson-based developer Cardinale Enterprises will seek to obtain a zoning variance to move forward with plans for a sports complex and hotel near Six Flags on Wednesday.

The developer’s proposed project, Adventure Crossing, will seek a zoning variance to build higher than 33 feet at a 75-acre site located at 567 Monmouth Road.

Plans for the 75-acre site include:

  • A 134-room, five-story hotel;
  • a 107-room, four-story hotel;
  • an 101,781-square-foot indoor recreational facility with an 11,155-square-foot second floor;
  • a 114,000-square-foot domed recreational facility.

The developer, who could not be reached for comment, listed on its website parts of the submitted plan include five basketball courts, a sports bar and food concession area, laser tag, and retail space.

If approved, Cardinale would require to show final resolution compliance and to obtain building permits for each piece of the project.
